Privacy policy

Last updated 22 October 2026

This explains what personal information getAftr handles and why. getAftr is run by TechConnex. For the information in your account, we're the "controller" under UK data protection law. For the transcripts and client details you send us, you are the controller and we process them on your behalf.

What we collect

  • Your account: your email address, your plan, and the company details and website you give us.
  • What you send us:meeting transcripts, and the names, companies and any other details in them, which can include other people's personal information. Also the follow-up pages we make from them and any edits you request.
  • When a page is opened: the time, IP address and browser details of each visit. We use this to tell you the page has been opened and to tell real visitors from automated scanners.
  • Waitlist: the email address, if you join our waitlist.
  • Emails: the emails we send and receive in running the service, including your replies.
  • Website analytics:if you accept, we use Google Analytics on this website to count visits and see how it's used. It sets cookies in your browser. It does not run on the follow-up pages you send to clients, or on the dashboard. If you decline, nothing is set, and you can change your mind any time with the Cookies link at the bottom of the page.

Why we use it

  • To run getAftr for you: to build your pages, send you notifications and keep your account working. This is what you've asked us to do.
  • To keep it safe and fair: stopping abuse, enforcing limits, fixing faults. This is in our legitimate interest in running a secure service.
  • To bill you, and to keep records the law requires.
  • To understand how the site is used and improve it, through analytics.

We don't sell personal information, and we don't use your transcripts to advertise to you or anyone else.

Who else handles it

We use a small number of providers to run getAftr. They process data only to provide their service to us:

  • Anthropic, whose AI reads transcripts to write the pages.
  • Supabase, which hosts our database.
  • Vercel, which hosts the website and pages.
  • Resend, which sends our emails.
  • Google, for website analytics.

Some of these providers are based outside the UK, including in the United States. Where that happens we rely on the safeguards the law provides, such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or an adequacy arrangement.

When you send a page to your client, they can see what is on it, and so can anyone else who has the link. We don't routinely read transcripts or pages, but we can access them and may do so to give you support, fix faults, keep the service secure or meet a legal duty. We don't promise that what you send us is confidential. See our terms.

How long we keep it

We keep your account, transcripts and pages while your account is open so the service works. If you ask us to close your account, we delete your account, transcripts, pages and view records, other than anything we must keep for legal or accounting reasons. View records and logs may otherwise be kept for as long as the page they relate to exists.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of your personal information, to correct it, to delete it, to restrict or object to how we use it, or to move it to someone else. If you're named in a transcript or opened a page and want to exercise these rights, you can ask us too, and we'll help or point you to the person who sent it. To get in touch, email darryll.wolloff@techconnex.co.uk or reply to any email from getAftr.

If you're not happy with how we've handled things, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

If you're sending pages to your clients

Transcripts and view tracking involve other people's information. You're responsible for telling the people in your meetings that you record them, and for telling your clients about tracking where the law requires it. See our terms.

Changes

If we change this policy we'll update the date at the top, and tell you by email if the change is important.
