Terms of service

These terms cover your use of getAftr, at getaftr.co.uk. getAftr is run by TechConnex ("we", "us"). By using getAftr you agree to them. If you don't, please don't use it.

1. What getAftr does

You send us a meeting transcript, or paste one in. We use AI to turn it into a follow-up page for your client, and you approve it before it goes anywhere. We can tell you when your client opens the page. getAftr is for business use.

2. Your account

You need to be 18 or over and acting for a business or in a professional capacity. Keep your login details to yourself and tell us if you think someone else has used your account. You're responsible for what happens under it.

3. Plans, pages and fair use

• The plans and what each includes are on our pricing section. A "page" is one follow-up page we create for you.
• Every plan, including Free, includes a number of pages each calendar month. The count starts again on the 1st. Pages made while you set up your account don't count.
• Each page can be revised a limited number of times, which depends on your plan and is shown on the pricing section.
• On paid plans, if you go over your monthly pages we won't cut you off straight away. You get a grace allowance of 10% of your plan's pages, rounded up. After that we may stop creating new pages until the next month, or until you move to a bigger plan. The Free plan has no grace allowance.
• Plans can be changed or cancelled at any time (see section 4). Larger or custom arrangements are agreed with us directly.
• Don't use getAftr in a way that puts unreasonable load on it, or tries to get around the limits.

4. Prices, billing and cancelling

Prices are in pounds sterling. We'll add VAT where it applies. Paid plans are billed in advance, either monthly or, if you choose the annual option, once a year. They renew automatically until you cancel. You can cancel whenever you like. Your plan then runs to the end of the period you've paid for and doesn't renew. If we change our prices we'll give you at least 30 days' notice, and the change applies from your next renewal.

5. Refunds

If you're not happy, you can have a full refund of your first payment on a paid plan by asking within 14 days of paying. After that we don't refund the unused part of a period you've already paid for. This doesn't affect any rights you have by law.

6. Your content

Your transcripts, the details you give us and the pages we make from them are yours. You give us permission to store and process them, and to send them to the providers we use to run getAftr (listed in our privacy policy), solely so we can provide the service to you.

You promise that you have the right to use what you send us. That includes making sure the people in your meetings know they're being recorded and transcribed, and that you're allowed to share what was said with the person you send the page to. Transcripts often contain other people's personal information, and you're responsible for handling it lawfully.

7. Confidentiality and your data

getAftr is an early-stage service and we don't promise that what you put into it is confidential. Please bear this in mind:

• Transcripts and pages are stored on our servers and with the providers listed in our privacy policy, including the AI provider that reads your transcripts to write pages. We can access them.
• We don't routinely read your transcripts or pages, and we don't contact your clients. We may look at them when we need to, for example to fix a fault, give you support, keep the service secure or meet a legal obligation.
• A page can be opened by anyone who has its link. Links are hard to guess, but pages have no password.
• Don't send us anything you couldn't share with an outside service provider. That includes passwords, payment card details, and highly sensitive personal information such as health records.

8. AI-written pages

Pages are written by AI and can contain mistakes, such as a wrong figure, name or detail. You review and approve each page before it is sent, and you're responsible for what you send to your clients, including any prices, promises or advice in it.

9. Tracking

Pages include a small tracking image that lets us tell you when a page has been opened, and records the time, IP address and browser of the visit. If you send pages to people, you're responsible for telling them this where the law requires it.

10. What you can't do

• Use getAftr for anything unlawful, misleading, abusive or fraudulent.
• Send us content you have no right to use, or that you know is false or harmful.
• Try to break, probe or overload getAftr, or access anyone else's data.
• Resell getAftr to other people unless we've agreed it with you in writing.

We can suspend or close an account that breaks these terms.

11. Availability and changes

getAftr is a young product. We work hard to keep it running but we can't promise it will always be available or error-free, and we may change or retire features. If we remove something a paid plan relies on, we'll tell you first.

12. Our responsibility

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law doesn't allow us to limit. Beyond that, we're not liable for lost profits, lost deals or lost business, or for indirect losses. Our total liability to you for anything connected with getAftr is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the problem arose.

13. Ending your account

You can stop using getAftr at any time. Ask us to close your account and delete your data and we will, as set out in our privacy policy.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We'll tell you about important changes by email, and the date at the top will change. If you keep using getAftr after a change, you accept it.

15. Law and contact

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction over any dispute.
